The Quality Assurance and Training (QAT) Specialist conducts quality assurance audits of digital print production facilities ensuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.
Consults with the quality team to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems.
Functions as an information source to all departments when special and critical quality issues occur.
Focuses on improving Printful quality standards while driving to decrease reshipments, refunds, and reshipments at your facility.
**Responsibilities**:
- Help with determining and monitoring overall product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests related but not limited to printing, embroidery, sewing, packing, and shipping.
- Assist QAT Coordinators with creating, establishing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform tasks at hand.
Ensuring that continuous compliance is maintained throughout the company.
- Developing and updating work instructions for each individual task performed in detail.
- Establish, analyze, and maintain new and ongoing quality programs.
- Identify, evaluate, document, and recommend when to take corrective action with regard to product quality improvement and process improvement to enhance the company's customer experience.
- Educate personnel and recommend necessary quality control testing, equipment setting, general process, and housekeeping practices.
- Function as an information source for departments when critical quality issues arise.
- Assist in the development of special department projects and work in conjunction with supervisors, director of operations, and quality control services.
- Help with conducting assessments on existing production processes and support continual end product quality improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production-related damages across all departments, and recommend corrective action to decrease the damage rate to QAT Coordinator team.
- Additional projects and tasks that are assigned as required.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position may or may not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but does always serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional production environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
A large portion of the work will be performed in the production area where the noise may be loud.
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Shifts may vary depending on project and training needs at the facility.
All work is to be done in person and on-site, this role cannot be done in a remote capacity.
Travel
Travel to other locations may occasionally be required which would be for short periods of time as needed by projects or tasks involved with the role.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical savvy with the ability to use various computer programs such as GSuite, Microsoft Office, etc.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Detailed knowledge of production improvement standards and measures in aquality control environment.
- Experience in creating, developing and/or implementing Standard Operating Procedures in relation to a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience or background in ecommerce.
