**Sr.
Engineer, Quality**
With a minimum of managerial supervision, the position aims to support Plant Quality Engineers and Managers in the implementation, administration, and maintenance of the Quality System, the development of solutions and strategies on systemic, chronic and/or repetitive problems between plants.
Participates in APQP meetings for new product launches.
Participates in meetings of risk analysis and mitigation, PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP.
Develops and maintains computer systems to streamline processes for collecting discrepancies, Audit findings, MSA, Calibration, CP, APQP, Control of customer complaints, among others.
The objective is to analyze and increase the effectiveness of the quality system and promote continuous improvement as well as the proliferation of best practices and lessons learned between plants.
**Responsabilities**
- Responsible for technical and administrative support to multiple plants to address systemic, chronic and repetitive problems, implement best practices and lessons learned, streamline, and standardize processes and systems between plants.
Organization support (EDS and Components).
- Work with top level management (staff) at each site to ensure that customer satisfaction, product quality, delivery and continuous improvement is maintained.
- Work with manufacturing plants in the development of quality improvement plans and initiatives.
(EDS Plants and Components).
- Establish and maintain customer relationships and provide proactive customer communication as directed by the organization's Quality Leader.
- Improve customer and internal quality performance indicators by identifying key process/product needs,
developing systemic solutions and assisting in the implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions.
- Ensure that quality basics are implemented and effective at each manufacturing location.
- Support Reliability Engineering activities in projects in the Design Phase (APQP activities) during all phases to successfully and smoothly launch new products / projects.
- Support in the training of quality personnel in EDS plants and components.
- Schedule and assist in audits of systems / products / processes / tools and ensure that the Audit meets all quality control standards.
Ensure reaction plans for each and every finding according to current procedures.
- Development of corporate reports of poor-quality cost, undesirable components (Dirty Dozen), best practices, QR's / PPM's, Lessons learned, quality performance of plants and divisions of EDS and Components.
- Prepare presentations of corrective or preventive actions and improvements to customers in US and Mexico.
- Comply with and ensure compliance with PKC Group's Environment, Health and Safety Policy and Energy Policy.
- Comply with the environmental, health, safety and energy requirements set forth in Federal, State and Municipal legislation and applicable regulations related to our activities and products to comply with the EMASS (Energy, Environment, Health and Safety) procedures inherent to their work position.Contribute to the effectiveness of the Energy, Environment, Health and Safety Management System, including the achievement of the EMASS Objectives and Goals.
**Profile required**
**Education or experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any field (preferably electronic, mechanical, mechatronics, computing, or automotive industry.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Quality Engineering (preferably in the wire harness industry).
**Skill/ knowledge requirements**
- Knowledge of the Core Quality Tools (PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, APQP, SPC)
- Knowledge of the ISO / TS16949 standard
- Problem Analysis and Solution
- Advanced English (minimum 80% written and conversational)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in root cause corrective actions and preventive and quality improvement activities
- Very strong computer skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel (especially pivot tables and graphs), PowerPoint and WordAbility to interact effectively with all levels of leadership, with customers and suppliers
