**About the role**:
**Be a part of a team where you will**:

- Actively monitor, analyze,



and respond to security events for prevention of a security incident
- Perform analysis and correlation of events from systems including user activities and network traffic
- Perform IDS monitoring and analysis, network traffic analysis, log analysis, prioritize and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms
- Create and track investigations to resolution.
Assess incident severity and escalate to include other teams for remediation as necessary.
- Interact with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, network intrusion detection devices and other security systems via proprietary and commercial consoles.
- Perform malware analysis using internal tools and procedures
- Monitor the functioning of equipment to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications
- Evaluate SOC operating procedures for operational efficiencies and updates to monitoring rules and use cases
- Create metrics and operating reports as required for daily, weekly, or monthly reporting.




- Respond to inbound phone and electronic messaging requests for technical assistance with EVO SOC products
- Provide high quality customer service to executives and other internal customers of the global Security Operations Center.
- Adhere to privacy; confidential, proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e.
GDPR, PCI, SOX)
- Continuous development of technical and business knowledge to stay up to date with current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasure
- Mentors junior analysts on policies, operating procedures, best practices, and SOC tools
- Assists with internal and external audit and compliance assessments for the review of processes or collection of evidence.
- Perform related projects and duties as assigned

**About you**:

- Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP, network/packet analysis, intrusion prevention/detection systems and understanding of a wide variety of network protocols (DNS, DHCP,



HTTP, FTP, SNMP, SMTP, RDP, SSH, etc)
- Requires 5 years of IT technical experience with 3+ years of experience in IT Security
- Experience working in a 24x7 operational environment (SOC or NOC)
- Knowledge and practical experience within Windows and/or Linux operating systems and tools related to log collection and analysis
- Knowledgeable in LAN configuration, network topology, routing, and firewall architecture
- Displays an in-depth understanding of new trends and technologies related to IT security and compliance and can contribute to written processes and procedures.
- Experienced with incident response procedures and forensics techniques
- Strong analytical, data analysis, interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail,



correlating information between systems to make decisions or take action in accordance with written procedures.
- A self-starter who can work independently as well as work within a team environment
