**Job Description Summary**: GE Digital is hiring!
We are looking for a Thermal Power Plant Operations Specialist to join our team in Mexico.
This position will lead the customer adoption of GE's Operations Performance Management (OPM) software solution for power plants delivering reduced emissions, improved operating efficiency and reliability This is a key role working directly with customers to improve operations and deliver outcomes.
It is involved in all steps of the project from implementation to adoption and support.
It brings together industrial process knowledge, complex analytics, and the power of software to optimize systems.
**CAN WORK REMOTELY WITHIN MEXICO****Essential Responsibilities**:- Leverage industry experience, equipment knowledge, software know-how, and customer satisfaction skills to deliver and support world class performance and predictive analytics solutions to assigned customer accounts.- Serves as best practice/quality resource.
Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area.
Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.- Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.- Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.- Manage customer relationship, maintain regular customer contact, and manage expectations- Work with the project team to execute key project steps:- Develop/Deploy and Tune ML/AI and modeling solutions for the customer- Conduct post installation benefits analysis- Provide operator/engineer training on the use of the system- Create software documentation (User Manual/User Guide)- Create customer reports to provide plant operation insights and recommendations- Meet project deadlines and ensure quality- Provide customer support as needed- Deliver support within the scope of the Maintenance Agreements- Work with the broader GE project team to coordinate efforts- Provide technical support to the commercial teams and sales process- Provide feedback to the Product Line and Development teams for product improvement**Basic Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with advanced experience
