**INTRODUCTION TO GGGI**:
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.

Since its establishment in 2013, GGGI has supported the government of Mexico to develop the National Climate Change Strategy and the Special Climate Change Program.
Over the last decade, GGGI has consolidated its role as a trusted advisor to Mexico's federal and subnational governments, actively working with key counterparts to establish a solid foundation for green growth in the country.
In recent years,
GGGI has partnered with the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), as well as with the United Kingdom through its UKPACT program, to improve the architecture of climate finance in the country and improve Mexico's access to climate resources by preparing local financial institutions, highlighting the role of development banking, to access GCF funds.
GGGI Mexico has a growing portfolio of programs managing a diverse set of programs and projects focused on four key thematic areas of energy, green cities, water, and land-use as well as the cross-cutting areas of climate change and socially inclusive development, all of which contribute significantly to the potential for achieving green growth in Mexico.
Following these thematic areas, GGGI Mexico has supported the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) via its General Directorate of Policies for Climate Action (DGPAC) and its International Affairs Coordinating Unit (UCAI) in the development of a Roadmap for the Implementation of the NDC, in its adaptation component.
To date GGGI Mexico has produce a robust analysis on the achievement made in adaptation by Mexico and identified gaps and needs that require attention.
To materialize these recommendations, GGGI seeks technical support design an action plan for the adaptation component roadmap and facilitate dialogue between key stakeholder for an efficient and impactful implementation of Mexico's NDC.
**OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT**:
The objective of the consultancy is to support SEMARNAT-DGPAC in the enhancement of the NDC Implementation Roadmap governance to facilitate its implementation and monitoring to deliver tangible adaptation impacts while contributing to NDC achievement.
**DELIVERABLES AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE**:
(1) Activities
The consultancy must carry out at least the following activities:
- Support the DGPAC-SEMARNAT (in the coordination of its Working Groups) in (a) preparation of the annual planning and the development of activities of the Adaptation Policy Working Group (GT-ADAPT), (GT-REDD) and (b) monitoring and advancement of the national adaptation goals included in the NDC, through the work of the same group.
- Propose an appropriate coordination mechanism for the NDC Roadmap for the adaptation component, as well as support the communications and development of this mechanism with the participation of different actors.
- Develop a database that contains key adaptation information on decision makers and key actors within the framework of the Action Plan for the roadmap of the adaptation component of the NDC.
- Support the review of official information reported on the electronic platform of the Special Program on Climate Change (SIAT-PECC)
and official reports from institutions of the Government of Mexico, to propose to the DGPAC-SEMARNAT its incorporation of the progress of the NDC in the NDC adaptation component roadmap.
- Identify and include the results from parallel processes led by the DGPAC-SEMARNAT that contribute or are relevant to the roadmap of the adaptation component of the NDC.
- Contribute to the development of technical inputs, material for the coordination and monitoring of the processes involved in the preparation of the Action Plan for the roadmap of the adaptation component of the NDC, as well as conveying activities requested by the DGPAC-SEMARNAT which may include, among others, the preparation of technical notes, presentations, support in logistics activities for events or workshops,
communications or inputs for internal documents and support for topics related to the Adaptation climate policy.
(2) Other activities in DGPAC
