Position will be part of the corp team, located in HMO or MEX, responsible for supporting both Mexico facilities, and support any total enterprise supplier audits, developments audits for Mexico or south America.
Strategic position to help improve supplier COPQ and first pass yield.
**Job Description**:
POSITION: Corporate Supplier Quality Engineer "SQE"

DESCRIPTION:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES include, but not limited to:

- Manage global policies and procedures pertaining to supplier quality to ensure conformance.
- Managing Creation's Supply Base Management System.




Updating required information including SARNI analysis, QMS requirements, ISO system certifications, NDAs, ITAR, CSA, CE, MET, IECEx, VDE, and TUV certifications and verifications.
- Work with Supply Chain, Quality, or other internal groups to collaboratively develop Suppliers.
- Review Supplier Quality performance regularly ensuring appropriate, timely corrective actions are implemented, completed, and closed as required limiting risk to the global organization.
- Generates / manage supplier SCAR system, conducts RCAs, implements effective Corrective Actions, Verifications and follow the 8D process to closure (may include site verifications).
- Maintain and update supplier audit schedule and external audit system.
- Participate and support suppliers to insure successful NPI launches / onboarding new suppliers.
- Conduct new and existing supplier audits, as required, to ensure compliance to all Creation, Customer and regulatory requirements and drive process standardization, lean, waste elimination, CI and reduce risk to the organization.




- Lead and monitor supplier scorecard reviews or SCAR, PPM, or other quality aspects.
- Improve supplier relationships, communication, quality, and overall performance.
- Communicate and manage Creation Supplier Quality Requirements internally and externally.
- Work with Global Business Units to initiate actions to address systemic non-conformities.
- Participate or Lead in risk management activities including DFMEA, PFMEA or PPAP processes.
- Provide clear communication within the quality department and throughout the global organization to facilitate understanding of issues and actions be taken.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering related fields or 7 + years related supplier quality experience.
- Preferred Master's degree in management field / international equivalent preferred.




- Combination of education and experience in related industries
- Experience and understanding of electronics, capacitor, resistors, plastics, metal commodities and supplier manufacturing processes, preferred SME in one or more of the following commodities PCBAs, cables and electronics, customs plastics / metals, distribution suppliers.
- Understanding of QMS Standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, ISO 13485 etc.).
- Detailed and proven understanding of supplier quality management processes and tools.
- Proven technical auditing experience.
Understands supplier DFMEA, FMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, GR&R; and how to target audit focus as needed to maximize supplier improvement and reduce risk.
- Experience in leadership of suppliers, strong negotiation, and project management skills with the ability to persuade suppliers to improve processes,



invest in CI activities, cost reductions, and prevent defects.
- Ability to follow, enforce and train prescribed procedures SOP's or other requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, risk mitigation skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to serve as liaisons between all North American BUs / Customers and global suppliers, including preparation of quality assurance reports, supplier recommendations, nonconformances, risk analysis and other BU documents.
- Understanding of project management (experience preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of various quality system methodologies, 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, FAI / PPAP, etc.
- Strong technical, leadership and supplier management skills.




- Highly desirable to have ASQ CQA, CQE or CQM certification.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50% of the time, could be extended periods.
- Due to ITAR regulations, this person must be a current US citizen to support current customers.
