What's the role? Etsy is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Inventory Personalization and Customization team!
This web-focused team is part of the Buyer Experience Initiative, and is dedicated to developing features that improve clarity and interaction with listings which offer both personalizable and customizable options.
As a Software Engineer II on our team, you will be responsible for:
Building and maintaining software written in PHP and React/TypescriptClose attention to detail, with the ability to translate design and product requirements to production-ready codeStrong communication that adapts to technical and non-technical audiencesWork closely with third-party APIs, such as Zendesk, to provide stellar support to our buyersConsistently and proactively breaking down large features into multiple stages for deliveryIdentifying and resolving difficult architectural and technical trade-offsCollaborate with teammates across various subject areas, including engineering, product management, product design, and data analyticsThis is a full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.
In addition to salary,

This role requires your presence in Etsy's Mexico City office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office.
Candidates living within commutable distance of our Mexico City office or in Guadalajara may be the first to be considered.
