We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager to lead Amazon Device Reverse Logistics systems (ADRL).
The ADRL team designs,
builds and maintains software systems that manage the Reverse Supply Chain for Amazon Devices.
Its north star is to provide a best-in-class returns and replacement experience for Amazon Customers (end customers, retailer partners who sell Amazon devices and operators in the fulfillment center) to empower a frictionless return/repair experience.
Key job responsibilitiesThe Software Development Manager will lead a team of software engineers in building innovative solutions for Amazon.
You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of our software and services.
The successful candidate will have an established background in developing complex systems, a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders, product teams, customers, software engineers, and scientists across Amazon to drive large cross-org innovations, influence customer experience, and define technical strategy.

Define, design, and deliver software applicationsMentor and develop your team of engineersManage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environmentCollaborate with multiple business stakeholders, engineering, and design teams to coordinate, prioritize, and deliver to an ambitious roadmapBASIC QUALIFICATIONS7+ years of engineering experience3+ years of engineering team management experienceExperience partnering with product or program management teamsExperience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systemsBachelor's degreeKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews,
source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of experience developing software5+ years of experience managing peopleExperience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customersExperience taking complex projects from initial concept through final launchExceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests and recommend alternative technical and business approachesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working with supply chain and/or manufacturing operations systemsAbility to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
