**Compliance & Ethics Sr.
Manager for Mexico and Colombia (EG120)**:primary responsible for overseeing and enhancing the compliance program, maintaining alignment with the global Compliance & Ethics (C&E;) program.
In addition, assist the Legal Director with legal related activities,
including providing legal support to the local business, as needed.
**Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate and co-chair with the Legal Director, the BMS North Hub Compliance Committee, to identify trends/patterns and develop action plans to drive continuous improvement in the compliance program and culture of the company.
- In coordination with the Legal Director liaise with Business Units and functional leaders (Finance/Business Controls Function, Human Resources, Enterprise Services/Information Technology, etc.)
concerning the operation of the market compliance program, provide day-to-day operational compliance advice to drive and enhance the compliance culture and drive continuous assessment (multi-source) and improvement of the Hub compliance programs.
- Assess the need for, refresh and enhance healthcare professional-related procedural documents and work with the business and functional areas in creating and simplifying local compliance procedural documents to satisfy market laws and self-regulatory codes, and ensure implementation in close cooperation with the General Manager and Finance.
Challenge the status quo and strive to simplify business processes and procedural documents.
- Ensure the compliance program addresses all expectations of U.S.headquartered pharmaceutical companies.
- Continually assess compliance program through the review of relevant data.
- Participate in, and/or lead, projects with a global legal and compliance focus, and interact closely with global legal and compliance team, including participation in centers of excellence.
- Develop and deliver compliance training (periodic and ad hoc) and communications related to interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Oversee operation of BMS Mexico & Colombia compliance monitoring programs.
- Oversees compliance investigations, which includes creating the work plan, carrying out interviews and drafting reports.
Drive corrective actions (non-disciplinary), asneeded.
- Continuously report up to hub leadership significant matters regarding the market compliance programs.
- Partner with internal audit during the audit process, execute follow up actions assigned to C&E; and assist the business, where necessary, with any audit follow-up actions assigned to the business.
- Represent BMS Mexico & Colombia in the Compliance Committees of trade associations in which the company participates.
- Review of contracts to ensure compliance with local laws and BMS applicable policies in order to protect the company's interests and rights.
- Assist the North Hub Legal Director in general legal related work as this position will be part of the North Hub Commercial Law and Compliance team.
