**Regulatory Affairs Manager Central & Latin America**
Are you passionate about R&D;?
Would you like to join us and take a front seat in our R&D; team based in Mexico City As our Regulatory Manager you will be working as part of a passionate Regulatory team with a can-do mentality, reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Leader for Emerging Markets.
You will help us develop and promote products that deliver on our commitment to great tasting, all natural, plant-based products that are good for the consumers and the planet in a responsible and compelling manner.
A good understanding of the Regulatory environment in Central and Latin America and a proactive cooperation within R&D; as well as being the trusted voice for our marketeers and excellent communication with external regulatory partners and trade associations is key to success.

- Be part of a small central team that collaborates closely with colleagues in different regions around the world and functions
- Work with externally contracted Regulatory partners as well.
- Product Development
- Work directly with Product Developers and Technical Project Leaders from the start of a project and guide them through the regulatory environment to innovate products with compelling propositions and claims.
- Help our marketing teams to define rules for claims and propositions as well as mitigation plans to ensure compliance in the market.
- Work proactively to ensure our products are compliant with local regulations and that they will continue to be compliant when regulations change.
- Collaborating with external regulatory partners to deliver the necessary regulatory advice for projects.
- Liaise with colleagues outside R&D;, with Legal, External Affairs, Quality,
Packaging and Procurement to help addressing questions from, authorities, customers, and ingredient suppliers.
- Work closely with External Affairs to address Upfield's technical interests as needed in industry associations and/or directly with regulatory bodies and authorities.
**What is your background?
**
- Degree in Food Technology/Quality.
- Minimum of 7 yrs.
professional experience **in a food, or food ingredient manufacturing company** with relevant international regulatory frameworks supporting product development in the foods industry.
- Expert in food regulations, having good working knowledge of the food regulations for the sector and packaging regulations.
- Ability to communicate efficiently with external regulatory partners as well the ability to communicate regulatory information to individuals from other disciplines and from non-technical background.
- You have a can-do mentality and enjoy finding opportunities in a challenging regulatory environment to help Upfield's ambition for Plant based products.
- You enjoy working on time-critical business requests.
- Fluency in English
