Job summary Amazon Web Services (AWS) Mexico is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Solutions Architect to help launch and grow business in Mexico.
As part of the business development and sales team you will accelerate the adoption of AWS as the leading technology platform in Mexico.
As a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad usage of the amazing AWS's Compute technology like: Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute, AWS Outposts, AWS Wavelength, Amazon Lightsail among others.
Using your technical skills, you work with customers to architect solutions to difficult analytics problems.
You focus on work where the business objective (e.g., reduce risks, reduce costs, increase revenue from existing products, invent new products), opportunity, and strategy are defined; but the technical solution design is not defined.
Key job responsibilities You take the time to understand your customer's business context (i.e., outcome priorities, customer experience, shared goals, business case, etc.).
You understand the reasoning behind design trade-off decisions (e.g., load distribution, data store choice, scaling strategy, failover mechanisms, performance bottlenecks)
in delivering the right technical solution for your customers.
You own the end-to-end design of your solutions, and support other SAs when encountering complex risks or constraints.
You are proficient at leveraging existing solutions and repeatable design patterns where appropriate; and when a new solution design is required, you create a solution with potential for future reuse.
You seek opportunities to simplify existing solutions, processes, and designs.
Your solutions adhere to best practices of being secure, scalable, reliable, and performant.
A day in the life You present AWS Value proposition to both open and closed audiences in a compelling way that clearly transmit relevant information and reference cases that attract attention and creates intention and business opportunities.
You work side by side with the account team to understand prospects' and customer's needs or business strategy to shape technical solutions based on AWS Servicves that address all the stakeholders' concerns based on the best practices.
You have fun by thinking big on behalf of your customers and invent compelling solutions that impact the world's best interests.
About the team Your team is a small group of 10-12 Architect that continuously seek around corners to come up with really innovative solutions and help each other to deliver the best results on the Customer's best interest.

- Specific knowledge in multiple technology domain areas (e.g., data & analytics, software development,
systems engineering, infrastructure, security, or networking).
- Experience and/or deeper understanding in one or more technology areas.
- Understands and can articulate best practices (e.g.
security, scalability, availability, performance).
- Knows how to perform an architecture review.
- Knows when to use common architectural patterns and design principles (and when to not).
- Able to assess a broad set of technical requirements and uncover unstated needs and risks.
- Able to design and build applicable solutions that take into consideration their deployment environment.
- Recognizes when to optimize for immediate needs and when to invest in reusable/extensible solutions.
- Ability to travel as needed.
