.Eaton's VEH NAT North America Truck division is currently seeking a Jr. Quality Engineer (Machining).
**What you'll do**:**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:A.
Monitors and improves a quality system in the manufacturing process.
Supports other process engineers and supervisors on the tools and techniques of quality improvement.
These will include problem solving techniques, Six Sigma, IATF 16949/ISO 9001, and process improvement techniques like Kaizen principles.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:A.
Develop process control plans & review data collection methods & applicability of data to operator control; assist in the development & implementation of Dimensional Control Plan (DCP)B.
Assist with the implementation of quality systems (EBS, IATF 16949)C.
Assist in the development of PFMEA's and PPAP'sE.
Direct & conduct process potential studies & sample layout of new or revised processesF.
Assist in the preparation of customer required reportingG.
Actively participate in manufacturing & process improvement teamsH.
Assist in the development & presentation of cost of quality measurementsI.
Assist in identifying & coordinating quality related training programsJ.
Perform additional functions as requiredK.
Leads SPC through the plantM.
Promotes the company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.N.
Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.LI-DS1**Qualifications**:**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**A. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Quality, Statistics, preferred)C. Certificate Quality Engineer (CQE) would be a plusD.
Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt would be a plusE.
Strong statistics and problem-solving technicsF.
Strong communication skillsG.
Thorough knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studiesI.
Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T;) principlesJ.
Strong knowledge of AIAG, IATF 16949 standards and EQMSK.
Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including:- SPC- PFMEA- PPAP- 8-D problem solving- APQP- MSA- Capability Analysis- Problem SolvingL.
