**Duties**:




Inspects over 40 leased properties to ensure they are adequate and safe for occupancy, according to SHEM standards and US codes.
Conducts various inspections to identify the nature and extent of maintenance, repair, and improvements required for Post's residential properties, and defines the nature and extent of maintenance/repair/improvements required.
Prepares scopes of work for said repairs/improvements and supervises the contractors until final completion of work.
**Qualifications and Evaluations**:
**Requirements**:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of progressive responsible experience in a building construction, residential management, or facilities management position in which two of the years should be in project supervision and/or inspection is required.
Education Requirements:
Two year university studies in architecture, engineering, or facility/building management studies is required.
Evaluations:
**LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY**:

**Good working knowledge Spanish required (this may be tested.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess a valid basic driver's license.

The test's fee is the applicant's responsibility.

A "certification" is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant.
The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.
Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
