inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.- Job summary:- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Molding Process Engineer located in Tijuana, BC.- Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, the Molding Process Engineer role involves responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.- What a typical day looks like:- Design plastics or injection-mold fabrication processes.- Create and improve injection-mold machinery.- Research and develop new manufacturing processes.- Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements.- Analyze production and machinery line.- Ensure quality output of molded components.- Assist on the develop and design engineered plastic parts, insert molded parts and assemblies.- Interact with customers, suppliers,
and internal resources.- Establish the parameters for an optimal molding environment using Decouple or Scientific molding principles.- Design necessary components will be a must.- Ensure environment to make plastics is appropriate.- Analyze quality control and correct flaws.- Work with other team members and vendors.- The experience we're looking to add to our team:- Advances English- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience- Knowledge of mold design fundamentals, molding process development, plastic resin behavior and required tooling/equipment.- Strong technical experience in mechanical engineering with excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.- Solid understanding of processes and materials used in the development and manufacturing.- Solid experience in performing complex engineering calculations and relating results to controlled tests, including statistical analyses and tolerance analyses.- Writing product requirements and design specifications.- Support equipment/facility/process commissioning and validation desired.- Design for manufacture of low-cost, high-volume products
