- The Business Intelligence Data Analyst position is aligned with our internal claims teams to generate, consolidate and analyst the claims data operations.
The position will work in a collaborative team environment, with independent duties.
The Business Data Analyst role will support the business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and provide checks and balances via dashboard and reports for data quality and oversight.
In addition, the Business Data Analyst role will work with the business stakeholders and IT to gather reporting requirements to help define the data structure for the set up our new data warehouse and reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to data analysis, documenting processes, working with the business to gather data/reporting requirements,
support business reporting request, resolve data anomalies identified.
This role will work closely with our IT team on the data warehouse set up, clean up, reporting and supporting exceptions.
This role will participate on a team to establish a data management process for oversight of the Claims data.
- About the role
- What you need to know:
- Responsible for the generation, obtaining, loading and analysis of the information of the management of the claims department.
- Provide quantitative information on the results of the claims operation as well as its analysis and trends that allow visibility and establish the corresponding actions in the management of the claims department.
Likewise, assist in obtaining and generating reports to the different claims and non-claims stakeholders.
- Work closely with various stakeholders and offshore partners to develop and deliver tailored solutions
- Support reporting requests and data validation.
- Support administrative tasks, as required.
- Work with business stakeholders and IT to analyze, define and document data/reporting requirement
- Provide the data oversight for our business, by establishing needed checks/balances, identifying business owners for data and establishing SLA's to address issues.
- Support reporting request from business stakeholder and validation of reports
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
- What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree with business, technology, Administration, Engineer, informatics or related field preferred.
- 3+ years as a business data analyst role, Reporting or related role.
- 2 years of experience in the insurance industry (preferred)
- Advance Microsoft Office - proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI tools, Visio, Acess skillset.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, decision making, problem resolution and organizational skills.
- Experience working with data warehouses, auditing data and identifying data anomalies & root cause
- Client Servicing - ability to anticipate client (internal and external) needs and act proactively
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables
- High sense of ownership and responsibility to all stakeholders to ensure work quality.
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced or intermediate English, written, read and spoken.
