**Title**: Global Product Line Manager
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León IJD CRA
**Function**: Supply Management / Logistics

**Main Responsibilities**:





- Leads a Group of SCI engineers working on the PDP and transfer programs coming to IJD.
Manages supply management and supplier integration activities for a less complex product line(s).
Ensures product line Product Delivery Process (PDP) and activities are aligned to meet cost and supplier warranty reduction goals, supplier quality planning and Authorization for Expense (AFE) on a global basis.
Works closely with divisional Supply councils and Unit procurement groups to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing strategies that support sustainable product line financial operating results.
The complexity of the job should be viewed based on the number of product lines of responsibility, as well as the number of locations where the product line is designed and/or manufactured.
The following are typical characteristics of this job: Total Product Line Portfolio: Single or multiple product lines designed at one product center and manufactured at one domestic manufacturing location for local or worldwide market distribution.




The scope in dollar is typically less than $250M based on Total Product Line Direct material purchases.
May provide work direction and/or perform some administrative HR duties such as Performance Management, Salary Pay Plan, or Succession Planning.
**What Skills You Need**:

- Leadership and training skills to lead, support and train a group of SCI Engineers working on PDP programs.
- Manages and implements supply management activities to support Product Delivery Process projects and programs for product line(s) of responsibility.
This includes activities such as global sourcing strategies, cost reduction, return & allowance, supplier warranty and managing scorecard metrics.
- Participates in the project planning process of new products and/or major improvements to existing products.
Develops the project plan and leads the project team in executing that plan.




Acquires a solid foundation in project management and experience in managing projects.
Project plan developed by focusing on project definition, scope, business requirements, cost, completion dates, resource allocation, and quality/reliability.
- Works closely with product engineering groups on new engineering requirements for given product line(s) to obtain the necessary and critical data for early supplier selection and supplier integration activities.
- Interfaces with other unit and/or division functional leaders (engineering, quality, marketing, etc) to gain alignment and support of key initiatives.
- Works closely with cost management personnel to obtain component cost targets in support of the sourcing decision making process to ensure alignment with with product line cost targets.




- Interfaces with other unit or divisional Supply Management supervisors or managers to gain alignment in support of key initiatives.
- Develops, tracks, and reports unit or divisional Supply Chain Integration (SCI) metrics to key stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals.
**What Makes You Stand Out**:

- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and the Deere Production System.
- Knowledge of Product Delivery Process programs.
- Knowledge of supply management systems, processes and practices.
- Understanding of various processes such as supply management, process engineering, quality engineering,



customer support, etc.
- Ability to lead teams to assure results on time and within goal.
- Ability to train and transfer knowledge among a group of people.
**Education**:

- Engineering Graduate.
