We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Head of Network Segmentation. This role is accountable for defining and maintaining our global strategy for Network Segmentation,
selecting the right technology from a wide variety to fulfill the business requirements in the most efficient form, supported by engineers, platform owners, architects, and Control Owners, enabling business success, meeting regulatory expectations and best practices, whilst responding to current and likely threat actor evolution.
Principal accountabilities: Product Owner of the investment roadmap for Network Segmentation and its successful delivery across multiple partners through managing correctly the risk within Cybersecurity, not as an architect but as a Lead with Technical Experience in both areas.Ensure network segmentation is overseen end-to-end, robustly and throughout the organization: from service creation to both strategic and day-to-day network management. Drive a data-centric approach to observability and assessment, wherever possible supported by automation, measures, and analytics.Select and lead the implementation of a variety of network technologies to support the business requirements, ensuring they are the best suited and efficient based on cost, risk,
and sustainability.Lead with business expertise rather than technical expertise the required implementations ensuring the goals are met by the team led by this role.Ensure the transparent prioritization of a common backlog to drive risk reduction, simplification, and wider strategic needs. Ensure risk-risk trade-offs are managed, particularly risk mitigation and operational needs.Develop with colleagues throughout technology and the business innovative technical solutions that meet both current and future business needs, ensuring the bank's infrastructure remains scalable and resilient. Partner with external technology providers and security specialists to integrate best practices and leverage or build cutting-edge tooling.Define, operate,
and mature a business service supporting adoption and tuning of protections, as well as being a trusted advisor and point of escalation for technical and business teams ensuring security requirements are understood and effectively implemented.Ensure regulatory and risk management outcomes are being maintained or robustly managed. Ownership of High-Risk Audit, Regulator, and self-identified issues. Ownership of the capability budget, balancing run and change investment. As a senior leader, contribute to and champion change across both Cybersecurity and Technology, occasionally outside of your primary remit.Lead, manage, invest in, recruit, and inspire a team of highly skilled and performant SMEs across the globe. solving meaningful problems that keep the bank and its customers safe.Requirements for the role: +7 years of experience in a Senior or Head role with proven experience in related activities.Hands-on experience designing and implementing segmentation strategies in large-scale networks, leveraging tools and frameworks to secure and optimize resilient network infrastructures.Proven expertise in driving network segmentation delivery in partnership with technology and business teams, balancing at times competing needs, in large-scale global organizations.SME knowledge of network segmentation technologies for Zero Trust Network Architectures, software-defined segmentation, and micro-segmentation in hybrid environments.SME knowledge of security zones, VLANs, subnets,
and firewall policies to design, monitor, and enforce segmentation across large-scale networks, including for OT and IoT assets.Understanding of threat modeling and vulnerability management practices to safeguard critical infrastructure.Hands-on experience with tools such as Cisco TrustSec, VMWare NSX, Illumio, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or other segmentation solutions.Robust understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and their associated network security challenges and solutions.Robust understanding of common industry cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and methodologies, including PCI DSS, FFIEC guidelines, CIS, and NIST standards.Ability to engage with and influence senior peers and leadership.Prior experience in Financial Institutions is not required.Due to hiring urgency,
