.Thomson Reuters is looking for a Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer to join the development of world-class digital training experiences.
In this role, you will bring your full stack development skills in design, development, deployment and support of compelling web experiences.
You will set development standards and framework, train and coach other software engineers, and do hands-on development while overseeing others' work for quality and compliance.
You will also ensure the code is managed properly in GitHub, passed through all the delivery gates, operationally ready, and deployed and maintained in production.About the role:As a Senior Java Fullstack Engineer, you will:Write new software, make modifications to existing software,
or integrate software applications and modules in accordance with agreed-upon specifications, created in partnership with others.Create and execute unit testing and integration testing ensuring software meets requirements.Contribute to the creation of design (may lead the design of less complex components).Provide technical support to operations or other development teams.Create, review, and maintain all required technical documentation/manual related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse.Review work of peers and more junior developers.Assist in identification and implementation of short-term and long-term solution options, including risk assessments.Assist with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow.Participate in remediation solutions.Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.Demonstrate software as requested.Develop software using disciplined software development processes,
adhering to team/company standards and software best practice guidelines, and corporate policies.About you:You are a fit for the role of Senior Java Fullstack Engineer if you meet the following qualifications:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years experience in hands-on development of highly performing enterprise-grade digital experiences including front-end, web services, integrations, and data services.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.Core Java with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA, and related technologies.Java build tools like Maven/Gradle.Strong understanding of RDBMS.Strong knowledge of code documentation and handover multi-stack development covering front-end/server-side development technology stacks.Expert knowledge of TypeScript and popular libraries & frameworks.Experience with micro-services and RESTful API designs.Managing code and changes in a team environment to include experience with source control utilities, such as Git, Node + npm.Development with compliance to specified standards such as accessibility standards in the clients' region or domain.Design and develop for performance, operations, and supportability
