TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels.
They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain.
Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes,
and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
**General Information**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Logistics Control Tower- Support Logistics Control Tower portal Project:
- Project development, eg.
Process mapping, data collection, report / dashboard design, communication, testing etc.
- Fully equip with well knowledge on Control Tower portal functions
- PIC to coordinate with Control Tower portal service provider after go-live- Lead weekly SIM (Short Interval Meeting) to review:
- shipment booking status, space allocation, ASR (Air-Sea Ratio), etc.
- Exception management:
- Acting as 1st escalation point for fast issue resolution
- Coordinate with internal BU cross functional team, Global Logistics organization, related forwarders to secure space with earlier schedule possible, alternative transport mode or routing
- Notify BU internal team on natural disaster, strikes, etc and work with related teams to provide alternative options to minimize the risk and less impact on committed lead time
- RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to drive continuous improvement
- Lead new forwarder implementation from RFQ award
- Support special projects to follow up closely until cargo delivery
- Work with internal Global Logistics organization and related forwarders to manage Month-end / Quarter-end / Year-end push to support Sale Revenue recognition
- Be BU's representative to work internally with Global Logistics organization to finetune and standardize Logistics Control Tower function
Logistics Analysis & Reporting- Coordinate with Finance and internal Logistics / FAP organization to analysis Logistics Cost, provide guideline of uplift cost % and identify areas to be improved
- Perform Transport Lead Time analysis and publish updated Lead Time guidance for SAP updates
- Coordinate internally to populate reports for Cross Company & VMI hub programs and Productivity tracking reports
- Work with internal data analytics team to develop dashboards to automate existing manual reports by using approved BI tool
- Lead performance review with awarded forwarders and drive performance improvement
- Logistics Transformation Initiatives support- Support other Logistics Transformation Initiatives when necessary
**Requirements**:
- Educational Degree: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operation Management, Statistics or related field
- Professional Experience (years in what processes and function)
- 5+ years working experience in Logistics function.
- Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills.
- Advanced knowledge for all transportation modes (Air, Express, Ocean, Rail, Cross Boarder Trucking, Domestic Trucking), Warehousing, and ERP system knowledge required (SAP preferred)
- Other important things to note: Experience in Regional and Global Role, understand Chinese culture with smooth and effective communication.
