**What you'll do**- Lead a team of 6 to 8 Front-end and Back-end Software Engineers.- Guide, coach, and mentor your team to help them grow technically and professionally.- Ensure the apps your team develops follow software design patterns, architecture patterns and DevOps technical practices (CI/CD, test automation, static code analysis, automated security scans, etc.
)- Invest 10% of your time leveling up your skills, learning, building PoCs, and experimenting with new technologies and software engineering practices.- Be the Tech Lead/Architect for one project.- Participate in yearly Strategy discussions with other managers.
**Essential for the role**5+ years with the following:- Experience building happy high-performance software engineering teams.- Experience designing multitier architectures.- Experience programming in Java or HTML/CSS/JS.- Proven ability to prioritize and delegate.- Proven ability to experiment with new technologies, tools, software engineering practices, and ways of work.- Experience using DevOps technical practices (CI/CD, test automation, automated static code analysis, automated security scans, etc.
)- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with people across the globe with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
**Desirable for the role**- Proven experience designing and architecting cloud and serverless solutions using AWS.- Proven experience designing Event-Driven architectures.- Demonstrating experience using IaC.- Deep understanding of DevOps and Agile principles and methods.
