This role will support the Fixed Assets Accounting team and oversees the inventories of fixed assets at various locations in USA.
This position works to ensure financial statement integrity and acts as an organizational business partner with departments such as Finance, Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Facilities, outsourced partners, and others.
Responsibilities.
Inventory Coordinator.
· Coordinates on remote mainly, inventory fixed asset selections with functional owners.
· Obtains results of inventory selections, updates SAP as needed, and issues asset tags as needed.
· Oversees the disposal and transfer of fixed assets according to company policy.
· Prepares reports of findings as a result of inventories.
· Drives continuous process improvement.
· Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Design and Development Monitoring.
· Works with Finance function at NTCNA (Nissan Technical Center North America) to capture capitalizable design and development costs.
· Perform journal entries and accruals related to D&D.;
· Work with Program Management Office to obtain launch dates and production life for vehicles.
Requirements.
· Bachelor's degree in accounting.
MBA preferred.
· 4+ years' professional experience.
automotive, public company, and public accounting.
· Fixed assets experience – accounting, reporting, internal controls.
· Expert accounting knowledge (US GAAP & IFRS).
· Understanding of SOX and Public Company Control Requirements.
· Microsoft Suite capabilities.
· SAP and Hyperion skills desired.
· Language.
Proficiency in English – Advanced level.
