The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join Commodity Buyer at our SLP PDS Plant in Mexico.In this role, and under direct supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Commodity Buyer manage the activity of suppliers related to the regular production phase, opportunity management and implement savings projects, as well as develop parts, components and processes with strategic suppliers, supporting the needs of the operation in coordination with the Sr. Purchasing Manager and the global and local purchasing groups.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Responsible for the materials that are received in the plant according to the allocation of suppliers and commodities.-- Be the first point of contact when there is an express request or situation regarding price increases and analyze the nature of it.-- Manage supplier required changes (eSCRs)
with the equipment in the plant and ensure their approval, rejection and communication to suppliers.-- Manage changes in cost and design in production phase derived from an eSCR.
Lead the capacity analysis with suppliers and the necessary actions resulting from this analysis in the production phase and in the project phase (Sourcing and Run at Rate, prior to production).-- Commercially align strategic suppliers that help create value for the Company through price competitiveness and commitment to long-term cost reduction term.-- Maintain updated prices in ERP system.-- Negotiate / Achieve improvements in raw material prices,
under a development program of local suppliers or supplier substitution in coordination with the Purchasing Manager and The global purchasing group.-- Manage commodities based on the global market with periodic adjustments as applicable.-- Ensure that the supplier base complies with BorgWarner's terms and conditions.-- Creation, review and approval of commercial contracts (NDA/ AL/ GT&C;/VMI/Schedule Agreement/IDA) with direct suppliers.-- Creation, execution and monitoring of cost reduction projects according to budget annual
