.The Automation Engineer support will focus on receiving new equipment for the integration of NPI projects and defining optimal operating parameters, as well as training to release a process in control.
Working alongside the NPI process engineer dedicated to the line, ensure a quick response to issues related to design, machines, tooling,



and functionality.Our TeamSupport Process and Products Manufactured areas at Molex Guadalajara.What You Will DoCollaborate with the design and operations teams to ensure that the voice of the process is represented in new and enhanced designs.Participate in the development of controls standards and specifications by providing feedback on lessons learned and gaps from each project.Troubleshoot any controls-related downtime events on the production lines as a priority.Apply engineering principles to analyze and solve technical problems related to the design and fabrication of high volume, low volume, and high mix electronic and electromechanical full automated machines related to High Performance Cables (HPC).Maintain, modify, and properly version control equipment programs, configuration files, and documentation as changes are implemented, including hardware, electrical, safety, pneumatic, network, PLC, HMI, and Robot.Troubleshoot, improve, and add features to PLCs using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text with an emphasis on organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable code.Ensure proper implementation of and modifications to (ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA compliant) control reliable safety systems for safeguarding robots, gantries, conveyors,



and other high volume manufacturing equipment.Train Production and Maintenance teams in the proper use of the equipment and troubleshooting from the HMI.Receive new equipment.Set up & debug new equipment.Define operational parameters.Generate procedures and documentation.Define with APQP qualification plan.Provide training for manufacturing technicians and engineers.Design and improvements for future projects.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in the cables and harnesses industry; full automated manufacturing machines preferred.Engineering degree (Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering).Experience with Visual Studio, Lab View, Arduino, and Ladder Programming applied to test set design.Working knowledge in PC selection, installation, configuration, and maintenance.Able to establish networking.Current knowledge of automation technologies; excellent analog and digital hardware design skills.Advanced proficiency programming industrial equipment using various IEC 61131-3 languages.Experience writing standard and safety PLC projects from scratch for high-volume manufacturing equipment using Rockwell or Siemens.Experience creating HMI projects from scratch for high-volume manufacturing equipment using FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware, TwinCAT HMI, or similar
