The System Engineer IT - ITSM position will work closely with service delivery teams to gather service data, administer service reporting tools, perform service catalog maintenance, assemble and produce service reports and any other tasks that assist Gates' IT Service Management efforts. This work includes defining procedures for service management support tools, assembling and producing service reports, handling ad-hoc requests for service status, and managing service reporting communications. A key element of this position is to continually improve and streamline service management processes including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and Service Request Fulfillment.
**What You'll Do**
- Define, implement,
and deliver new functionality in service management systems such as eUSR, Orchestrator and ManageEngine in order to meet changing business needs and changes in company processes and in compliance with ITIL best practices.
- Assist IT project teams to transition their development projects to operational support.
- Manage the life cycle of IT hardware and software within the Asset Management and CMDB modules.
- Align to corporate IT standards and strategies
**Minimum Qualifications**
- 3 to 5 years of IT work experience, supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral, communication skills, and ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical language with all levels of staff and management
- Deep understanding of Change, Incident, and Problem Management as well as Identity and Access Management concepts
- Ability to identify requirements/needs, assess solutions and provide recommendations
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and influence others
- Solid knowledge in Microsoft 365, Cisco platforms, Windows/Linux Servers, desktop environment, collaboration tools and security tools
- ITIL training
- Highly passionate and self-motivated
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in problem-solving based on ITIL practices, receiving mínimal guidance on IT process development issues by analyzing possible solutions, using experience, judgment and precedents.
- Experience defining service level process metrics and KPIs
- Experience with development and automation of IT processes
- Experience in areas such as Project Management and ITIL
