Eaton’s Eletrical division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based in Cuautitlan
The Manufacturing Engineer has the responsibility for the creative development of qualification process of new/transferred components outsourced. This position will have the responsibility of the overall technical review of requirements & technical assessments to targeted supply base. This will include design of the necessary fixtures for production release at the supplier site. This position will work closely with the Sourcing Project Coordinator, Sourcing Manager & RWWD Product Engineering, Marketing & Packaging personnel to develop the products in an organized and expedient fashion.
Presentation of each stage and completion of the project through the utilization of the Eaton's Six Sigma process is required.
The principal’s objectives of the Sr Manufacturing Engineer are:
- Perform Technical Assessments for the Stamping & Injection Plastics Commodities for RWWD Products.
- Support PROLaunch - Participating in aspects related to manufacturing of new released components or assemblies from suppleirs. Review and evaluate new components, processes, equipment and facility proposal. Lead and execute installation, runoff, and startup of transferred and new equipment. Complete runoffs and PPAP´s on time according to established schedules.
- Champion Sourcing initiatives for the plant from the Engineering/Manufacturing stand point utilizing EBS to achieve plant goals. Implement when required ELSS tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Setup Reduction, 5s, etc.
- Actively participate or champion in the continuous improvement process and implementation of cost
- savings in manufacturing to reduce waste including corrective actions to make an immediate impact to business results. Reduce high-risk priority numbers in manufacturing PFMEA´s.
- Train suppliers on specialized process and/or techniques of specific manufacturing concepts related to RWDD products. Optimize use of new and transferred equipment. Initiate process sheets for each step of the manufacturing process.
- Define max/min supply of all related items to critical equipment, such as spare parts and other supplies.
- Comply with requirements of the Quality System.
- Champion multi-disciplinary teams in activities related to manufacturing issues.
- Lead, facilitate and coordinate production activities and resources according to established proactive and/or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery or quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Establishes and identify best layout distribution
- Directs the Increased use of systems approaches that integrate engineering, automation, ergonomic & environmental issues and information technology in the workplace
**Calificaciones**:
**Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic or manufacturing engineering required.**
**5 years experience in manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally in the automotive industry.**
**English language at a conversational level required.**
**Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and manufacturing processes.**
**Demonstrated knowledge and training in assembly controls, automation, mistake proofing techniques, Stamping & Injection Plastic commodities.**
**Background or experience in quality basics such as statistical process control, capability studies and gage R&R;´s.**
**Experience conducting multidisciplinary teams.**
**Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD systems.**
**Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical operations).**
**English language at a conversational level required.**
**Green Belt (Six Sigma) would be a plus.**
**SAP knowledge focuses in Manufacturing Processes.**
