**Job Description** About This role**
The Medical Manager leads medical strategy in Alzheimer, through the following:
Medical positioning: Build the therapeutic area within the company, in Mexico, internally and externally, achieving the understanding of the unmet needs of patients and physicians in the area and creating comprehensive plans that include value solutions to meet them.
Medical Communication: Participate and conduct scientific exchange with healthcare community.
Medical Co-leadership: management and/or support of other functions, ensure full compliance with local and global legal requirements, safety reporting, medical contributions for regulatory challenges,
Medical Training:
Participate in and conduct Medical Science Training, contributing to the Training materials.
Medical Field Activities: Achieving the understanding of the medical unmet needs, to disseminate updates on academic concepts in the therapeutic area and our molecule
**CORE FUNCTIONS**
- Establish the situational diagnosis of the disease in the field from a medical perspective (including academic, health care, and research areas).
- Co-lead molecule/brand strategy for launch.
- Develop and maintain scientific relationships with key medical experts and investigators to help understand diseases, patients, and medical unmet needs & molecule development.
- Lead (conduct/attend/present) clinical Advisory Boards (Present data and find insights).
- Develop and leverage medical/scientific insights through field medical activities (face to face visit to Medical Experts), attendance at scientific meetings to develop further own knowledge base in line with specific business needs.
- Provide medical input to Sales and Marketing strategies and medical and technical input to the concept development of brand promotional materials.
- Contribute with access on private and public molecule strategy establishing integral value proposals.
- Co-lead with patient centricity the development and implementation of patient support program and disease awareness to public and patient groups.
- Share information on diseases, molecules, and competitors through face-to-face training, develop a continuous learning plan (for the internal team) for a deep understanding of them, adapted to local needs.
- Continuous updates on new or published results of the disease, our molecules and/or competitors.
- Identify training needs and implementation of specific plans, in response to insights identified in the field.
- Interact face-to-face in the field to identify expert physicians, networks of influence, centers of excellence in disease care, etc.
- Validate with Physicians the patient journey and unmet patients, caregivers and physicians needs.
- Build the medical panel, key medical messages, and medical field plan (pre-launch and launch).
**Qualifications**
- 3 - 5 years' experience as MSL or Medical Field Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in Neurology preferred.
- Physician
- Proven ability to interact with external customers (key medical experts)
- Ability to assimilate medical data and to present back to a internal audience (commercial & access audience) using simplified language.
- Proven ability to present scientific data and key messages to external audience: academic and non-academic audience.
**Desirable - Post graduate medical qualification**
- Technical knowledge in the Neurology disease/therapy area
- Understanding of Health Economics
- Understanding Private and Public Health Care System
- 20% time travel.
- Based in Mexico City.
