-Job description
This role is responsible for Wealth Products, Platforms and Propositions across the full client continuum in Mexico.
The Head of IWS must ensure client focus by serving all WPB client segments whilst also catering to the specific needs of HNW, Premier and Personal client segments, while aligning investment services and leveraging synergies with internal and external partners.
The Head of IWS has leadership and full accountability for:
1. Wealth Products P&L; across the full continuum encompassing (full year 2020 figures):
- Wealth Balances: $230,040,000,000 MXP in Administrated Wealth and TDA Assets.
- Wealth Revenues: $3,425,000,000 MXP; representing c. 25% of the Total WPB revenues
2.
Wealth Products & Platforms holistic growth and profitability strategies enabling a correct asset allocation through compelling, competitive, cost-efficient, and digitally empowered wealth solutions for the client continuum.
3. Pricing Desk and CAB efficiency and supporting capabilities for Commercial and Product teams.
4. Wealth Insights full support to Commercial team providing pertinent, relevant and timely information to customers and ensuring brand top of mind.
5. Wealth Oversight & Transactional Banking ensuring service excellence for Mass-Affluent and HNW clients while securing Wealth Products operation, regulatory and governance assurance.
6. Wealth support for the branch network and upper Wealth/Private Client segments through Product and Wealth Insights Managers, Investment and Pricing Desk team, and collaborating with Investment Counselors.
The role requires a broad understanding of the fundamentals of financial planning and wealth products knowledge. The role holder will work with the broader Branch network,
Wealth Premier-Premier & Advance segments to ensure the achievement of the business performance measures and plan (as defined by WPB).
Requirements
Impact on the business
- P&L; responsibility:
- Lead the collaboration and negotiation with Finance, AMG, and Distribution teams to establish Financial Targets and strategic levers to achieve FRP.
- Maximize Wealth portfolio profit across the client continuum
- Support Private Clients, Premier Executive and Wealth Premier expansion and Premier Advance growth.
- Strategic Wealth initiatives:
- Value proposition of wealth products & solutions for Private Bank relaunch, strengthening of Premier Executive, best-in class wealth products with multi-channel simple and efficient customer journeys.
- Launch of a unified and stream-lined Investment Financing and Wealth Credit solutions to meet client’s liquidity needs.
- Wealth and client growth: Achieve KPIs by developing existing and new client relationships through the effective use of customer analytics and targeted Wealth campaigns to drive penetration, linkage, client service excellence and WPB performance.
- Wealth Solutions: Complete regular reviews with clients to understand their current and long term needs and advise them on the Wealth products and services that help them achieve their goals.
- Wealth regulatory and financial crime risk ownership as well as operational integrity
Knowledge & Experience
1. Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; preferably an MBA or Master in Finance
- Strong technical skills in wealth management
- Strong communication, client focus and influencing skills
- Strong networking and portfolio management skills
- Sound knowledge of financial services products and services and the client relationship management system
- Clear view on how to work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment
- Able to communicate proficiently in English and local language
2. Accreditations
- Preferred but not mandatory, attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications/license as required by market (Mexico: AMIB III, investment banking certification)

- Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a proven management track record
- Have an understanding of the immediate regional Global Wealth strategy and the ability to plan own activities accordingly
