Overview:
The Senior Logistics Advisor serves as a key operational and tactical support resource to ensure customer requirements are met.
This resource has responsibility for coordinating logistics services and carriers in North America and Latin America ensuring the smooth delivery of transportation and logistics
services.
**Responsibilities**:
Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities.
- Performs clerical and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Receive, barcode, inventory and disposition assigned equipment
- Update tracking/management database with asset information
- Move equipment between facilities via pallet jack or push cart
- Maintain consumable stock levels - complete equipment reorders as required
- Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activities.
- Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Work Experience (years): 5-8 years' experience supporting cross-border trade movement an asset
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Project management experience
- Strong working knowledge of transportation, import, and
export administration regulations.
- Thorough understanding of carrier operations
- Dangerous Goods Handling Certification a plus
- Bilingual
Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
