**Position Overview**:
Responsible for all financial operations related to inventory costs.
Provide support to areas such as Supply Chain, Warehouse, International Trade, Deliver, Planning Finances, and others.
The Senior Cost Analyst position will be primarily responsible for the cost process, financial reserves (amortization, slow-moving SLOB, Hedge, variations, inventory adjustments, and cutting), ensuring accurate and timely loading of standard cost per SKU in the system, ensuring that the calculation between companies and the calculation of landed (importation expenses) is appropriate and up-to-date.
This role will also include month-end closing tasks, CNIS budget preparation, Balance reconciliation analysis,
P&L; Operation results BVA analysis, and participation in key processes such as Inventory and Free Goods.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Determine, record, and analyze standard cost, perform annual re-costing, cost analysis vs originator contracts, cost revaluation, and originator return.
- Perform month-end closing tasks such as analysis of current vs. plan, review vs. historical, and consolidation of comments for CNIS explanations with planning, deliver, trade operations finances, and others.
Presentation of CNIS with manager and finance director.
- Calculate and record reserves and/or provisions, accounting policies, inventory adjustments, SLOB, subsidies, transfer pricing, and DOS review.
- Prepare financial analyses such as purchase price variance (PPV) analysis, Gross Profit analysis, SLOB, Hedge, inventory adjustments, other costs, and CNIS.
- Provide comments for reconciliation of all balance accounts related to Inventory and some accrual and prepaid compensation accounts.
- Responsible for generating GP Bridge analysis,
which involves analyzing how the quarter balance was reached with cost and inventory movements.
- Ensure that product costing is done in accordance with regional guidelines and deadlines, challenge provided information, and deliver re-costing in time to release billing by January 2.
- Responsible for supporting planning processes (BP, JU, NU), as well as generating budgets for the lines under its responsibility, coordinating CNIS budget delivery with Deliver, Planning, Equipment Division, International Trade, and Marketing Control, and challenging figures by analyzing their historical context and strategy.
Presentation to management and direction.
- Assist, explain, and prepare requirements for external and internal audits.
- Act as a liaison with business partners to resolve/follow up on any issues related to inventory adjustments, STD cost,
and other non-standard costs.
- Resolve ad-hoc queries raised by business partners.
- Prepare information related to inventory purchases for hedging purposes as required by the regional treasury team.
- Participate in all process improvement projects for SLOB reduction (Obsolete and Excess), destructions, inventory adjustment projects, quality improvement of information, and improvement of inventory and cost control, among other ad-hoc projects.
- Act as a business partner for areas such as Supply Chain, Direct Procurement (Make), GS, Deliver, Planning, Marketing & Sales Control, Intercompanies, Reporting, Accounting, among others.
- Address requirements from the Center of Excellence, Global Services, and Regional teams.
- Responsible for generating, monitoring,
and approving chargeback requirements between subsidiaries related to Inventory or subsidies.
- Responsible for analyzing inventory in transit and following up on process improvements.
- Influence the supported areas to understand the financial impact of their activities and guide them for constant improvement.
