JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Director, Monterrey Operations is a key member of Polaris Monterrey manufacturing site leadership team, and serves as a business partner for the site Plant Director and local management team.
This role also supervises the local FP&A; and Cost Accounting teams, as well as reporting to and supporting the Finance Director,
ORV/Snow Operations and the rest of the Off Road Global Business Unit finance team in Minnesota.
The position holds the responsibility to effectively forecast and communicate plant manufacturing results, foster a strong internal controls environment, and ensure compliance with company polices, US GAAP, and applicable Mexican financial regulations.

The Finance Director will assure successful and timely completion of plant financial records, management reporting, and budget & forecast processing.
The controller will be hands on, design, develop, and coordinate profitability analysis, process improvements, and other business analysis.
The position will lead, develop, and mentor an exceptional staff and work closely with our corporate financial and accounting teams.
Strengths in accuracy, problem solving, and flexibility are critical to success in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Serves as the key FP&A; & Inventory Controls business partner for the Monterrey site, supporting the Monterrey Plant Director and leadership team, and the Off Road Operations Finance team- Oversees and leads all FP&A;, and cost/inventory accounting functions for the site, including but not limited to inventory accounting, associated account reconciliations and balance sheet accuracy, business analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and financial reporting- Align/influence across the Monterrey leadership team and the broader Off Road Operations team to drive better decisions and financial results- Drive results across the site in alignment with local and overall Off Road Global Business Unit,
enabling the organization to achieve its financial goals- Participate in the development and reporting of the plant's strategic plans- Compile monthly reporting and analytics of actual results, forecasts, annual plans- Prepare budget, forecast, and interim projections for the plant location.- Develops tools to aide Operations team in decision making and forward-looking analysis- Preparation, review and approval of all capital project activity in the location.
ROI and IRR analysis as appropriate- Responsible for on-going review and audit of site cost accounting and inventory management systems and activities to ensure compliance with company policies, US GAAP, and national/local regulations.- Ensures accuracy of cycle counting reported results.
Investigate and analyze variances- Coordinate documentation and review of processes for Sarbanes/Oxley section 404 requirements.- Leads financial support and stand-up of financial systems/processes for Polaris footprint expansion as such projects occur- Develop a team of finance professionals with a focus on creating a positive work environment and developing talent for future leadership roles.
Establish clear goals that provide a challenge for the employees- Works with a sense of urgency and ensures timeliness of all reporting- Performs/coordinates miscellaneous projects as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or CPA is preferred- 10+ years finance/accounting experience in a variety of functions.
Previous manufacturing finance experience is required.- Significant experience presenting to and influencing senior leaders- Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable information and plans- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a complex matrix environment- Excellent influencing, leadership, communication and people management skills- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once- Detail oriented problem solver, possessing strong analytical skills and strong knowledge of Excel- Significant experience building robust, scalable financial Excel models
WORKING CONDITIONS- Dynamic fast-paced cross functional team environment- Minimal travel required (3-5 trips per year)
