**BAT MEXICO IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST**

**JOB TITLE**:Sr. Data Scientist Consumer Analytics

**ROLE SUMMARY!
**

**What are the key objectives and expectations from this role.
**

The Sr. Data Scientist in Consumer Analytics will lead & deliver projects/solutions of Data, Analytics, Visualization and Advanced Analytics as assigned by the Team Manager and according to the Company Strategy.
This role will help the business understand consumers in depth to formulate brand and marketing strategy with a focus on digital analytics and insights (including, but not limited to e-commerce).
Working with a diverse and highly skilled team,



this role will combine technical expertise with business strategy to frame and prototype business problems using data and advanced analytics techniques to identify, and implement, the simplest, most pragmatic tool that drives business impact to the next level.
Helping the business to take better decisions providing objective, timely and relevant solutions/analysis.
To succeed in this role, you should have a solid knowledge in statistical analysis, machine learning (ML) methods, text representation techniques (NLP) as well as being comfortable, performing data analysis from multiple data sources using different techniques and programming languages, while ensuring data quality and governance, by maintaining metadata, dictionaries, business and technical lineage, as well as reference data information aligned to corporate policies.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Support multiple projects at a given time while driving assigned metrics to improve and interpret as a monetary value (revenue, EBIDTA, costs, etc) impact.




- Have experience delivering production-grade ML/NLP models and systems on Consumer, Marketing and Digital Analytics (including website, E-commerce, Audience segmentation, marketing campaigns, strategy, etc).
- Thrive in a self-directed environment with full ownership to design independently and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions / outcomes as per specifications.
- Nice to have understanding of various aspects of NLU and statistical NLP
- Expert delivering solutions in Python and/or R languages, and experience with ML tools, frameworks and libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, spaCy, Hugging Face, Keras, etc.
for both transfer learning and learning from scratch.
- Mine and analyze data from various data sets/sources and/or new databases using different techniques and programming languages such as SQL, R,



Phyton and Spark to query & manage various large data sets.
- Demonstrate the power of data & analytics to find opportunities to drive growth of the company and enable timely and quality decision making.
- Develop and conduct analytical approaches to answer business questions, supporting and creating quality End User reports or deliveries.
- Serve as a coach and mentor for team members, ensuring the security and confidentiality of information to prevent substantial harm.
- Project Delivery - Professionally delivers projects to achieve long term benefits, maintaining a clear view of the project objectives, risk areas and engagement methodologies required to gain business consensus and delivery.




- Effective Communication - Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications across different audiences and with the ability to articulate analytical ideas & solutions is must (verbal and written English is a must).
- Follows agreed processes to deliver outcomes efficiently & within agreed SLAs with a continuous improvement mentality.
- Comfortable delivering in ambiguous & dynamic situations as a part of a global multi-functional team.
**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE**

**CRUCIAL**

**Experience Required**
- Educational qualifications: Graduate in Engineering / Statistics / Economics / Maths / Analytics or other quantitative field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on working experience in data science stream out of which minimum of 3 years in domain of consumer/customer, marketing and digital analytics.
A plus have been working in CPG companies.
- Subject matter expert and hands-on experience in the following areas:





- Fluency and expertise in R and/or Python are a must.
- Demonstrable experience over modelling AI, ML/DL and NLP (nice to have) and other modern techniques
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI/Tableau or other Data Viz tools along with understanding of UI / UX tools.
- Experience in AWS/Databricks or any other cloud for ML/Data Science environments (AWS, Azure, etc).
- Experience in Parallel processing using Pyspark for real-time processing, analysis and Pyspark ML modelling
- Exposure to RDBMS tools like SQL, Redshift, S3Microstrategy.
- Minimum experience of 2 years in managing & engaging global stakeholders independently.
- Proficient story teller and a curious self-starter, flexible problem solver, and embrace an agile
