**We are searching for the best talent for Production Planning and Logistics Specialist III (Temporary 18 Months) to be in Ciudad Juarez.
**
**Purpose**:
Prepare and coordinate the production workflow for one or more product families by optimizing resources and meeting customer service and inventory targets.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares schedules and ensures timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes.
- Drive customer service and inventor y results for their assigned codes.
- Analyzes product demand, sales patterns,
forecasts, production specifications and plant capacity data.
- Identifies raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production.
- Attend Integrated Production Team (IPT) meetings at least three time a week
- Reviews support documents for scheduling such as route sheets, enters all requirements into the planning system or process as required.
- Monitors planning modules or production planning systems with current lead times, and related information.
- Monitors and identify opportunities for improving lead times.
- Act as the business unit manager's customer service champion and recommend actions to achieve service and inventory objectives.
- Ensure optimum mix of codes and quantities are scheduled within available capacity on a daily basis.
Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure raw materials are available to achieve the production plan.
- Work with Supply Planner to identify proper allocation of scarce raw materials.
- Identify root causes to issues and recommend corrective actions affecting ability to run the short-term production plan.
Ensure planned events (conversion / transfers) affecting production do not impact customer service or inventory goals.
Responsible for creating ICOs necessary to support planned events / base business.
- Responsible for BOM accuracy in conjunction with the BE department.
- Responsible for managing / mapping capacity within the Advanced Planning System.
Ensure JNJ affiliate product requirements are satisfied.
- Prepares production /planning reports as required.
- Analyzes month end activity to determine the need for forecast modification.
Recommends revisions.
Participate in and support the GOALS process.
- Provide information as necessary to track / trend customer service, inventory and performance metrics.
Correct work orders as required.
- Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, and/or plant production departments as required.
Monitors work orders from start to ensure the on-time delivery of products.
- Participates in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules.
- Lead and identifies improvement opportunities for plant or manufacturing unit supply S&OPs; as required.
Support plant or manufacturing unit supply S&OP; as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory investment through inventory entitlement model for applicable production line.
- Drives Lean / Six Sigma Improvement Kaizens or Opportunities
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Follow current compliance regulations and standards.
- Comply with all assigned trainings on timely manner.
- Comply with all federal regulated programs.
**Calificaciones**
**Qualifications and requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or certified in supply chain planning (CSCP) is desirable.
- Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.
- 4 - 5 years' experience in supply chain/operations and medical device experience.
