The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale housekeeping in high-volume, luxury settings, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout guest accommodation and public areas.
This role involves hands-on management, optimizing workflow during large guestroom turnovers,
and coordinating closely with the Front Office to ensure timely room readiness.
You will lead and train the housekeeping team, implement cleaning schedules, and maintain operational excellence, stepping in to oversee the department in the absence of the Senior Director of Housekeeping.ResponsibilitiesTeam leadership: Supervise and manage the housekeeping staff, providing guidance, motivation, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and guest satisfaction.Guest satisfaction: Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and courteously.Operational efficiency: Streamline housekeeping operations, particularly during large turnovers, and ensure consistent opening and closing procedures.Compliance and standards: Ensure all hotel SOPs and safety protocols (including HazComm and MSDS) are followed, and that all housekeeping staff are trained accordingly.Scheduling and payroll: Assist with the creation of staff schedules, oversee labor costs,
and manage payroll submission to meet the department's budget and productivity goals.Inventory management: Monitor housekeeping and laundry supply levels and place orders as necessary, ensuring timely inventories are conducted.Public and back-of-house areas: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in both guest areas and back-of-house facilities.Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Housekeeping and other departments to manage room turnovers, inspections, and ensure VIP rooms are ready before guest arrivals.Training and development: Conduct pre-shift meetings and facilitate training sessions to ensure all staff are well-prepared and knowledgeable about hotel standards and policies.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.5+ years of housekeeping management experience,
with at least 2 years in a luxury hotel setting.Proven ability to manage large teams in high-volume operations.Strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure operational efficiency.Experience delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, luxury environment.Proficient in managing budgets, payroll, and scheduling.Knowledge of health and safety regulations
