Job Description
**What you will be working on**:
Conduct financial modeling and analysis: Utilize your expertise in financial modeling and analysis to help evaluate critical cross-functional initiatives, especially acquisitions. As part of execution, build and implement processes for ongoing performance evaluation as well as integrating into broader company financial roll-up.
**Perform due diligence**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct comprehensive due diligence, including market sizing and analysis, review of financials and contracts, customer and transaction roll-up, initial investment sizing, and more. Identify risks and form mitigation plans.




**Drive recommendations**:Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support go/no-go evaluations, advise on transaction / partnership structure, and ensure business cases meet Zendesk Finance standards.
**Contribute to execution**:Develop approach to measure how we execute to critical initiative business plan, and build reporting cadence for performance reviews in conjunction with cross-functional stakeholders. Identify and execute on supplemental projects (e.g. synergy capture) that follow an initial workstream. Partner with the cross-functional Finance organization to identify challenges and build systems, processes, and tools to support ongoing M&A; efforts.
Act as Finance business partner throughout the integration process. Partner with business owners to build and forecast full P&L.; Own finance business partnering operations including driving cost management, vendor integration, and workforce planning.
Prepare reports and presentations: Create detailed reports and presentations that crisply summarize findings and recommended actions. Present findings to senior management as member of cross-functional team,



providing clear and concise recommendations based on your analysis.
**Who are we looking for**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA designation is a plus but not required.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking or another transaction-focused role.
- Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets. Familiarity with SaaS / software financial reporting standards and metrics as well as valuation approaches.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.




- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Knowledge of the software industry and familiarity with technology-based acquisitions is preferred.
