The Logistics Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the coordination of logistics activities for ocean, air, and land transportation.
This role ensures the timely and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination while ensuring compliance with international regulations, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
The coordinator works closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Ocean Freight Management**:

- Plan, coordinate, and manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.
- Select appropriate shipping lines and vessels based on service requirements, cost, and transit times.




- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and import/export permits.
- Track and monitor the progress of shipments and resolve any delays or issues.
- Work closely with freight forwarders and shipping lines to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, tariffs, and environmental laws.
- **Air Freight Management**:

- Coordinate airfreight shipments, ensuring efficient and cost-effective routing and scheduling.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to expedite air cargo.
- Ensure timely documentation preparation, including air waybills, customs clearance documents, and invoices.
- Monitor the status of air shipments and address any discrepancies or delays.
- Optimize air freight costs while meeting service levels and customer expectations.
- **Land Transportation Management**:

- Oversee the scheduling and execution of land transport for deliveries and pickups.




- Collaborate with trucking companies and third-party logistics providers to optimize transportation routes and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local and international transportation regulations (e.g., road safety, weight limits, permits).
- Track deliveries and resolve issues related to delays, lost or damaged goods, and route changes.
- Maintain strong relationships with drivers, trucking companies, and warehouses to ensure smooth operations.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Serve as the point of contact for customers, internal teams, and external partners regarding logistics operations.
- Provide status updates to customers on shipments and deliveries.
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure order accuracy and timely deliveries.
- Resolve logístical issues such as delays, damages, or documentation discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.




- **Documentation and Compliance**:

- Ensure accurate and complete logistics documentation, including customs forms, bills of lading, invoices, and certificates.
- Monitor and adhere to relevant import/export regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance.
- Prepare reports on logistics costs, performance, and service levels.
- Implement improvements to logistics documentation processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- **Cost Control & Budget Management**:

- Monitor and control transportation and logistics costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
- Negotiate freight rates with service providers to optimize shipping costs while maintaining service quality.
- Evaluate and implement strategies for reducing logistics expenses without compromising efficiency.
- **Safety and Risk Management**:





- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards across all transportation modes.
- Address and resolve any safety concerns related to the handling and transportation of goods.
- Identify potential risks in logistics operations and implement mitigation strategies.
**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
**Experience**:
At least 3-5 years of experience in logistics operations, with a focus on ocean, air, and land transportation.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs regulations, and international shipping processes.
- Experience with logistics software and tracking tools (TMS, WMS, etc.)
is a plus.
**Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.




- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on finding efficient solutions.
- Negotiation skills for working with service providers and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment.
- May require occasional travel to coordinate logistics operations or meet with service providers.
- Ability to lift and carry light-to-medium items, as needed.
**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
