Our Latin America Group (LAG) is looking for a motivated, creative, business-oriented Product Marketing Manager to support the development and execution of the product strategy for the accessory and industrial business in Latin America.
This position will be responsible for making our products "fly-off the shelf", both online and offline by collaborating with the country Marketing Teams to ensure strategy execution and create the tactics needed to drive profitable growth.
This position plays a key role in supporting, planning and launching new products successfully by knowing our competitors and our buyers/consumers/end-users including how they experience their shopping journey, and gathering strategic market insights to drive the development, positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers, consumers and empowers our sales channels to be successful.
This role collaborates with our Brand and Digital, Global SBU teams to develop innovative campaigns and program solutions that drive demand and works closely with Global SBU teams to develop innovative products and solutions for the Latin America markets.
The ability to grasp and present our product's value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our consumers' pain points,
as well as tracking performance and have data to prove what works and what doesn't is key to be successful.
**General Responsibilities**
- Industrial sector intelligence-be the expert on our consumers, industrial end-users, who they are, how they buy and their key shopping experience and relationships with product assortment and new growth opportunities.
- Understand the competitive industrial landscape-become an expert on our competition and how they are positioned - within drilling, abrasives and other categories.
- Collaborate proactively with product development, brand marketing, and digital to develop product positioning and crystal-clear messaging that resonate with our target industrial end-users for the accessory brands.
- Design/Influence alongside Sr.
Product Marketing Manager PTA on the Development of product marketing plans,
product/category portfolio in conjunction with the Brand, Digital, Global SBUs, and eCommerce teams, including key activities necessary for demand generation to retain and acquire new customers.
- Lead the New Innovation Launch Plans (NPIs) and steer the cross-functional implementation of the plan, including transitions, forecasting, certifications, manufacturing timelines, and launch execution.
- Own the category management function for multi-brand SBU to include Dewalt, Irwin, Lennox and Stanley branded accessories.
Areas of focus include SKU vitality, ramp-up-down transitions, SKU rationalization efforts, and pricing/profitability actions to accelerate sustainable category growth.
- Accelerate and support the assembly and delivery for customer presentations, training, online messaging with focus on industrial 2-step channels.
- Collaborate/Influence country teams to support our sales channels, with high focus on Industrial, eCommerce, including training/creating excitement on our end-user driven solutions and the problems we solve for our consumers/end-users; develop the necessary marketing tools to enable our channel teams to successfully close the sale.
**Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years of product marketing experience in multi-national corporations with operations in Latin America with at least 3 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g.
delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Industrial Engineering field.
MBA preferred
- Industrial background, manufacturing experience a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Power Point, Excel, Word and collaborations tools such as Slack
- Solid knowledgeable on marketing automation tools, CRM, social media, Google Analytics, etc.
- Financial acumen to include ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is -or isn't-working, P&L; understanding.
- Ability to present complex material to a wide range of audiences from the end user to the executive team
- Excellent oral/written communication skills in Spanish and English, Portuguese a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties' vendors.
