**What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)**:**Primary Responsibility**:Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding.
10%Attending and contributing to project development meetings.
10%Writing and maintaining code.
Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
Unit test and resolve defects found in all test phases and/or sprints 30%Responding to requests from the development team.
10%Work with IT Analysts to understand functional business requirements and develop technical requirements and design 10%Design, develop and implement reports.
10%Document technical design, systems flow, test scripts and support steps 10%**Education & Experience**:**Level of Formal Education**:
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience**Area of Study**: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline**Years of Experience**: Minimum 5 years experience in related field**Type of Experience**:Experience serving as developer throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement definition, detailed design, development, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsExperience developing in an agile environmentExperienced in any modern language (or be able to quickly jump into anything new.)
They should also have excellent communication skills, basic technical project management and architecture skills.
**Language Skills**:Strong Verbal and written communication skills**Technical Competencies**:Strong Knowledge in coding languages relative to the technical area.Strong programming experience in performance tuning and testing.Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
**Competencies**:Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.Detail-oriented.Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
