**Global Supply Chain Group **has an opportunity for an
**Advanced Sourcing Engineer **which will be based in central Mexico. At Stanley Black & Decker,



Innovation and New Product Development is one the key strategic initiative to grow the business and the Advanced Sourcing role will play a vital part in delivering winning New Products in the market. The position will have responsibility for providing sourcing representation for New Product Development in a cross functional team environment, which would include Supply Selection, Cost & Capital Management (TCO), Risk Assessment & Mitigation, Supplier Management throughout the Product Development and On-Going Process Improvements to speed Product Development. You'll get to:
- Facilitate Sourcing deliverables for Innovation Projects that will be designed in-house and manufactured/assembled in one of our many global manufacturing plants.
- Collaborate in a cross functional team environment, working with Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, Marketing, Sourcing Category Managers and Global Suppliers.
- Share a cross functional goal of launching New Products, On Quality, On Time and On Cost




- Perform supplier selection analysis and lead new business award in alignment with Sourcing Category Managers.
- Lead Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) strategies prior to new business award.
- Lead similar parts supplier capabilities and similar parts cost analysis.
- Develop a Sourcing Plan that documents, Early Supplier Involvement, Supply Selection, Risk Mitigation Plans, Capacity Management and Supplier Ramp Up Plans and ensure the plan is executed to timelines.
- Facilitate design reviews and communications between Engineering and Suppliers to assure the components meet design for manufacturability (DFM) goals.
- Negotiate component cost, tooling costs, minimum order quantity, lead time and delivery schedules with Suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier capacity & align on critical component supply plans.




- Coordinate Purchase Order placement for capital tooling and components for sample builds and track tooling and components into the SBD Manufacturing plant
- Ensure all supplier manufactured components meet the quality requirement of the Supplier Production Part Approval Process (SPPAP) or First Article Inspection (FAI).
**Who You Are**

- Bachelor's degree in technical area, preferably electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
- Experience in multicultural negotiations, contracting, program management and supplier management activities required.
- Experience in leading large,



global complex supply management solution projects required.
- Self-motived and drives for results.
- Skillful in remote collaboration tools: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Smart Sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across diverse product categories, suppliers, and business functions
- Demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal communications skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 5-10 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: Sourcing/Purchasing, Manufacturing/Process engineer, New Product Development preferred.
- Knowledge of multiple manufacturing process.
- Working knowledge of New Product Development (Milestone/Stage Gate) process
