Scope of Role





The Manufacturing Engineer Manager is responsible for organizing and managing the manufacturing engineering resources of the Apodaca 3, Mx facility.
The incumbent will be expected to effectively meet objectives and to assure quality production of company products with maximum efficiency, while determining the best utilization of equipment, facilities, material flow and manpower.
Other areas of responsibility include production support and projects' execution and tooling management.
This role reports directly to the Senior Plant Manager.
Essential

**Responsibilities**:

- Manages and directs the organization toward its primary engineering objectives based on long-term product and profitability goals.
- Determines schedule of new product releases and/or deadlines.
- Establish procedures, standards, and systems within engineering to effectively use resources and contribute to policy deployment objectives.
- Establish and follows up annual objectives for all members of the department.




- Determine and conduct viable research and development projects which will yield substantial future reduced costs and product improvements.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing tools and fixtures.
- Ensure tooling is optimized for production efficiency and quality.
- Manage tooling budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Act as technical consultant to other departments and customers.
- Assists in resolving complex quality issues and creates an atmosphere of proactive quality.
- Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Assist plant to achieve product schedule compliance through various departmental contributions.




- Provides necessary support to assure machines are functioning reliably.
- Maintains accurate routes and standards.
- Identifies capital needs to address process improvements and to meet operational goals, providing innovative and cost-effective means.
- Constantly seeks for material repurpose opportunities to reduce excess/obsolete inventory.
- Other duties may be assigned which will generate manufacturing and/or sales improvement.

- Demonstrated understanding of finance, capital appropriations, and budgeting practices and ability to perform manufacturing analysis and estimate cost of labor, equipment, material, and assembly capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead change through an organization.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline is required.
- 8+ years of engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing production and/or machining environment with proven success in implementing process or product improvements is required.
