**Testing Lead**

**The opportunity**
- Designs, develops, and oversees the maintenance of processes and approaches to ensure Automation standards of products and services
- Develops relationships with other Automation groups to evaluate, recommend and implement complex test cases
**Your key responsibilities**
- Review manual test for automation feasibility
- Leads the delivery of automation test plans to ensure product quality, setting project timelines and monitoring the activities of other automation testers
- Designs, develops, and supports automation of test cases for functional and non-functional domains, solving escalated issues and resolves issues that may impede the automation effort
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members and/or colleagues
- Assist and troubleshoot issues that may arise in the existing Test Automation Framework.
- Make recommendations to assist in the improvement of processes and practices
- Assist in debugging test results from automation runs to ensure bugs are raised from failed tests
- Identify and report issues and risks associated with own work
- Create, deliver, and interpret reports on automation metrics for project leads
**Skills and attributes for success**
- Extensive understanding of testing lifecycle and agile frameworks
- Comprehensive, end to end understanding of the IT life cycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, financial)
- Expert knowledge of Test automation techniques
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting options for solutions, and when agreed upon by team, lead the implementation of the resolution proposed.
- Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
- Ability to work independently and interact/communicate with stakeholders to complete tasks
**To qualify for the role, you must have**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience
- 3+ years applied experience in the following
- Working in a Page Object Model Design framework
- Selenium/C# using Visual Studio (Java OK if willing to convert to C#)
- Working in an Agile environment with understanding of Azure Dev Ops (VSTS)
- Developing API Tests using MSTest or NUnit, including using Postman and/or Swagger
- Strong programming and technical experience, as this role will require digging into code and interfacing with developers and delivery managers
- Experience working with BrowserStack
- Experience building and maintaining Test Automation frameworks
- Understands front-end technologies including HTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- 2+ Experience in public cloud services like Amazon, Azure and Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding in database (HANA), SQL, PL/SQL.
- Experience of working on Cloud software development would be an advantage
- Ability and eagerness to learn and explore new topics independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong desire to work in high performing team
- Other Core Competencies required are # Customer Focus, Business Acumen, Innovative Thinking, Change Agility, Intercultural Sensitivity, Self-Develop.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts with Azure DevOps for continuous integration, delivery of automation.
- Significant experience in either an internal or external test engineering role, or similar
- Experience working virtually in a globally dispersed team
- Some project management experience in an engineering / test environment
**Ideally, you’ll also have**
- Knowledge of tools and processes for results reporting
- Knowledge of Tax Industry
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Best Practices
- Experience with MAQS Automation Framework
- Experience working with keyword automation architectures
- Experience working with Power BI and Power App
